Turning It Up With the LGBTQ Community for Pride 2018

In 2018, we continued our annual Pride celebrations by inspiring fans to live at full volume. This included a curated content hub featured Pride-branded playlists and artist takeovers of existing playlists.

For the first time, this included the programming of playlists inspired by LGBTQ communities in select cities. These playlists featured music by LGBTQ artists in each city, as well as music associated with its queer community and history. These were created in partnership with GLAAD and Spectrum (Spotify's LGBTQ employee resource group.)

In NYC, San Francisco, Miami, and Toronto, we partnered with LGBTQ illustrators to create murals that pay homage to local communities. Each mural featured a Spotify code that directed fans to a corresponding playlist.

We also teamed up with the Fab Five from Queer Eye to highlight the music that inspires them to live at full volume. This included the creating of original playlists and a digital experience that matches fans to a member of the Fab Five based on their musical tastes.
